Obsidian Grindstone is a rock trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• Grants a +2.50 flat damage up, and approximately a +0.36 tears up and −5% tear delay. These stats are doubled if holding another rock trinket in the second slot.
• For every 10 tears shot, the other held trinket will be grinded, rerolling it into another rock trinket. However, the rerolled trinket has a 15% chance to instead break down into Pocket Sand.
• If the other held trinket is Pocket Sand, Obsidian Grindstone cannot reroll it, and the stats granted by Obsidian Grindstone will not be boosted.

Notes

• Smelted trinkets will not boost the stats granted by Obsidian Grindstone, nor can they be rerolled.
• Trinkets that are not considered rocks, besides Pocket Sand, will not grant stat boosts when held with Obsidian Grindstone.
• If playing as a character that is not Golem, then Obsidian Grindstone will not be able to reroll trinkets into those in the rock trinket pool, and will only reroll into the following regular trinkets that are whitelisted in the rock pool:
  • Petrified Poop, Lucky Rock, Shiny Rock, Fool's Gold, and Massive Amethyst.
  • Regular trinkets still have a chance to turn into Pocket Sand when grinded.

Interactions

• Trinket Multipliers / Henge Rock: Affects the stats granted by Obsidian Grindstone based on the multiplier, both with and without another trinket held.
• Smelter: When Obsidian Grindstone is smelted, only one trinket will be rerolled at a time, prioritizing the leftmost slot.
  • Smelter + Golem: With a multiplier of < 1, No tears up will be granted when not holding another rock trinket, and decreases the rate at which Obsidian Grindstone can reroll trinkets to every 30 tears fired.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown on Obsidian Grindstone rerolls it into Time-lost Diamond.
